On Thursday June 23, 2016, Uwchlan Ambulance Corps will be hosting KenCrest for a presentation on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal of the presentation is to have EMS providers know and understand the symptoms of ASD, Identify strategies to promote successful interactions with individuals with ASD, be able to apply proactive measures to safely interact with individuals with ASD and value the need for risk reduction during emergency situations involving individuals with ASD. Because this is the fasting growing developmental disability in the U.S., UAC wants to make sure that all first responders can safely interact with those affected by this disorder.
