Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) is looking to add experienced EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics to our part-time staff in Chester County, PA.  With UAC you’ll notice high expectations for clinical quality and patient care.  In achieving that success, we need candidates who are dependable, will go the extra mile, understand the sense of urgency in a 911 setting, and be confident but not close-minded in our service.  Our community is depending on you.  We are looking for leaders who want to learn and move up within our organization, someone who will provide ideas to make our service the best in our region.  We have pride and exhibit values of integrity, respect and teamwork.  We’re self-critical and strive to continually improve our level of service.  As you may have guessed, being a provider for UAC is more than just being capable of performing the mechanical skills of EMS, it’s providing the very best in patient care, education, and community service.

Required Qualifications:

  1. At least 21 years of age
  2. At least 1 year as an active pre-hospital provider at your current level of certification.
  3. Current certification in Pennsylvania as an EMT, AEMT or Paramedic / PHRN with EMSVO credential.
  4. Current certification in CPR for the Professional
  5. Current ACLS & PALS for advanced providers.
  6. A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  7. ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
  8. Hazardous Materials Awareness
  9. Must be able to work weekends
  10. Must be professional, outgoing and a hard worker

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. ITLS or PHTLS, PEPP, GEMS certifications.
  2. EMS, ASHI, AHA, ITLS and/or NAEMT Instructor Certifications.
  3. A Pennsylvania DOH approved EVOC course within the past 3 years preferred.

Successful applicants will be required to pass an oral interview, written, practical, and documentation testing; as well as necessary background and ChildLine clearances.  Successful applicants will also be required to pass a physical, physical agility testing, and drug screening.
